God is U.G.L.Y

Currently, there is this Publicity of "IS GOD UGLY?" "GOD IS UGLY" going on in virtually all social media and it has kept us in suspence. Due to our curiosity and dedication to bring you the latest,we went after the source of this publicity and guess what? We found the brain behind this suspense. He is AbdulBaseet Eshikhena. A pharmacy student of UNIBEN who has developed passion for what he does, "Spoken words"....it is better you hear from him. Below Is an exclusive interview with abdulBaseet!

OSAIGBOVO IGHODARO: Hello sir,How was your day sir?

BASEET: It was quite interesting (in excited tone)

BASEET: How about yours?

OSAIGBOVO: I thank God. So why did you say your day was interesting? (Smiles)

BASEET: sighs...I had a chance to meet old friends and make new ones

OSAIGBOVO: That's great. So sir Can we meet you?

BASEET: Yes of course (removes eye glasses)

OSAIGBOVO IGHODARO: Go on Sir

BASEET: clears throat....I am Abdul Baseet Eshikhena. A pharmacy student from the University of Benin by day and a free thinker by heart.. lover of spoken word poetry...

OSAIGBOVO: Oh you are from pharmacy? We heard of the tragedy that befell the faculty. Please accept our condolences (in sympathetic tone)

BASEET: Thanks (bows his head)

OSAIGBOVO: So how come the name Abdul BASEET? Were you born in a Muslim family?

BASEET: I knew you were going to ask, Yes I am.. my father is Muslim (smiles)

OSAIGBOVO: Wooow.....that is great! (In surprise tone. So what do you mean by you are a free thinker?

BASEET: (seats up) I don't let my environment, society and even my shortcomings affect my thoughts.. lets just say, I carry my own weather

OSAIGBOVO: That's good to hear Sir. So how did you find yourself in spoken words?

BASEET: Out of love and obsession with the art.. I had my heart in the Art (in bold tone)

OSAIGBOVO: You mean you woke up and found yourself In the field?

BASEET: No oh...(laughs). I actually didn't plan for it, Just loved watching and listening to spoken word Artist.. then I had someone in life who was kind of my muse and I wrote to her when I was on holidays from school. So that she never forgets how much I missed her presence... And let's say the rest is history

OSAIGBOVO: Hmmmm..... I see! We hope to hear more about her....(winks)

BASEET: Ok sir...(giggles)

OSAIGBOVO: So Who are your spoken word mentors?

BASEET: Off the top of my head.. David Bowden, Ezekiel azonwu, Jon jongerson, prince ea and Les Brown...

OSAIGBOVO: Nice... It seems you follow only one African?

BASEET: Well there are three blacks out of the five (smiles and winks)

OSAIGBOVO: Hehehehehehehe(laughs).... I see

BASEET: (clears throat) But that's not an excuse... African poetry suffers one grave thing....Accessibility

OSAIGBOVO: Yea? (in confused tone) When you say accessibility... What do you mean?

BASEET: (speaks louder) U can't get to see or hear their work ... globalization of African poetry is poor.

OSAIGBOVO: Hmmmm... Sir,What's new about your ministry?

BASEET: Well I am making it more accessible.. already have 2 videos on YouTube already with another on the way...

OSAIGBOVO: Wooow (in Joyful tone). Which ones do you have already?

BASEET: Yea.. first one is "Man's greatest problem" and the second is "What will I tell my Children"

OSAIGBOVO: Nice

BASEET: Thanks

OSAIGBOVO: So which one are we expecting?

BASEET: It's has a quite controversial name... It's called God is U.G.L.Y

OSAIGBOVO: That's interesting..So what is it about?

BASEET: It's just a side of God people don't realize. His loving side. This is because we have been fed with real lies.

OSAIGBOVO: This is interesting. So When do we expect the video?

BASEET: In some hours actually

OSAIGBOVO: We can't really wait (in excitement). This is going to be nice

BASEET: Thanks.. I think so too

OSAIGBOVO: How did you come up with this idea of God is ugly? What inspired you?

BASEET: Well ... I had a friend who was constantly bullied by herself and others about her looks.. this destroyed her self esteem and self worth.. I personally didn't think it matter for she was my good friend long before I understood that some persons are more physically attractive than some... and my every attempt to remind her what an amazing person she truly was didn't work.. so I felt she would get closure if I told her I was Ugly also.. during the writing of the piece, God started redirecting the letters and the words and that was how it came about. So I still wish she get the idea of this composition and set herself free from menace of other's opinions and know that the only opinion that matters is God's.

OSAIGBOVO: Powerful. But what do you see in the next ten years?

BASEET: Can't really say for sure.. but one thing I know is that I would be done with my schooling.. I would be more involved in public speaking and writing.. would probably go into business also and preparing a good future for my wife and kids

OSAIGBOVO: Wooow... Nice

BASEET: I would continue it.. you see spoken word poetry is a form a public speaking..

OSAIGBOVO: Very true Sir. So sir, What are your final words?

BASEET: I think everyone especially Ladies should endeavor to watch this video and know that "beauty is no more in the eye of the beholder but in the eyes of the creator"... Thanks

OSAIGBOVO: Wooow....(smiles)

OSAIGBOVO: Beauty is no more in the eye of the beholder but in the eyes of Jehovah.. Right?

BASEET: Yes (smiles)

OSAIGBOVO: It was nice speaking with you sir,Thank you for your time

BASEET: Yeah same here.. anytime.. Good day!

How to photograph a wine splash

Whether it's for a specific client or you just want to add cool stuff to your stock portfolio, taking pictures of a liquid splashes and glasses can be very fun and if you do the job right, you will end up with some awesome shots.
there are a couple of ways to do this, but we want to show you our favorite.
First of all, you're going to need a camera, a tripod and a longer lens, preferably anything longer than 100mm.
Then , you're going to need a table, which doesn't necessarily need to bea product table, just something that gives you enough space to maneuver.(Success Tip:Take better photos with this simple deck of cards)You're going to need some flashes and modifiers. Now this is where it gets a little tricky. You can get the job done with speed lights, or flashguns, but we don't recommend them for this type of shooting. Studioflashes will give you more power andfaster speed of operation, so we suggest you use those. But if you don't own any, again, you can get the job done with speed lights. The choice of modifiers is also very important. You will get different results photographing the same glass with an umbrella, a soft box, or a bare flash. It's best to do some tests first and see which one gives you the desired look. However, from our experience, soft boxes tend to deliver the best results as they create the best looking highlights on the glass. After you finish setting everything up, it's time to start shooting. You can trigger the flashes using a wireless device, or you can do it the old fashion way using a sync cable. Both of them will give you the exact same results. This is a process of trial and error and it might take quite a few attempts before you get that shot you're looking for.
Sometimes, it might not even happen and you will have to make a composite using two or three images.
This is by no meansa solution of compromise because itwill often produce spectacular results with a lot of commercial appeal.
Reading about how to do this is one thing, but seeing the demonstration is another.
Speaking of demonstration, here is a great video made by Photo Extremist that will show you everything you need to know about creating this kind of image.

New Breath

It's been a long time since I last blogged. I'm not a fan of keeping diaries, mostly because it becomes a chore and I don't like homework. However, there have been so many moments where I just felt like talking, or unloading my thoughts, and that just ended without an outlet. So this afternoon, I sat down, blog-platform hunted and here it is....

My blog, for whatever that captures my fancy.

And whoever you are who happens to be reading this, you're welcome to share my journey. As of now, I plan to keep this blog for on the spur reflections, essays and random thoughts. Who knows?

A First Look at Disney's Strong and Sexy Cinderella

Lily James as Ella in 'Cinderella' Here is our first look at Lily James as Cinderella!
Riding a horse while showing more skin than the classic 1950 animated character ever revealed, this new image of Rella is just the first indication of the changes that Disney has in store.
Disney states that the look, crafted by "Cinderella" director Kenneth Branagh, honors the tradition of the iconic princess while giving it a new spin of Branagh's own, according to a statement released on Monday.
"She combines knockout beauty with intelligence, wit, fun, and physical grace," Branagh says of the Lily James version.
Best known as Lady Rose MacClare on "Downton Abbey," James's Rella has flowing blonde hair and wears a dress that looks somewhat similar to the animated Cinderella's ball gown. Cinderella's outfit also shows off some ... wait for it ... cleavage! And no, the original Disney character didn't come close to showing as much.
Seen gamboling through a field on horseback, Cinderella looks to be a strong and capable horsewoman — an aspect of the character that hasn't been seen much of in the past. Overall, the image suggests that while this "Cinderella" will still be a period piece, it will give its leading character a more modern and independent streak than Cinderellas of yore.
Lily James (Photo: Ben A. Pruchnie/Getty Images)In spite of Cinderella's updates — which include a name change — Branagh plans to honor our favorite moments from the '50s animated feature. "It is impossible to think of Cinderella without thinking of Disney and the timeless images we’ve all grown up watching. And those classic moments are irresistible to a filmmaker," he says.
Matching the updated look, the first official synopsis included in Disney's statement reveals that Branagh and screenwriter Chris Weitz ("About A Boy" and "The Golden Compass") are giving the beloved fairy tale a few modernish twists. In their version, Cinderella begins the story as Ella. Her new name is actually a mean-spirited insult given to her by her Stepmother (played by Cate Blanchett), who turns her into a lowly servant after the death of her mother.
While riding through the woods, Ella meets a handsome stranger who she believes works at the nearby Royal Palace. It turns out, he's really the charming Prince (Richard Madden of "Game of Thrones"), which certainly puts a different spin on their romance. And when Ella is prevented from attending a ball at the Palace by her hard-hearted stepmother and ill-mannered sisters (Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera), she's given some unexpected help by an elderly beggar woman (Helena Bonham Carter) — who turns out to be more than Ella could ever imagine. Can you say Fairy Godmother?
